Joan Cronin joined Applied Biosystems in July, 2005. As a recognized leader in Human Resources, Ms. Cronin has more than 20 years of human resource and business experience building high performance organizations.

As a member of Applied Biosystems' executive leadership team and Vice President of the global HR organization, she is responsible for the planning, direction, and implementation of strategic HR initiatives and programs to facilitate the growth of the business. In this capacity, Ms. Cronin provides leadership to a global human resource organization in the areas of human resource services, organizational development, training, recruiting, staffing, mergers and acquisitions, and all other aspects of human capital management.

Prior to joining Applied Biosystems, Joan Cronin held several HR leadership management roles across multiple industries to include Senior Director of Human Resources at VERITAS Software Corporation; Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Human Resources at ANTsSoftware.com; Director of Human Resources at Genentech, Inc.; and Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Bank of California.

Joan Cronin received her BA and MA in the area of education and psychology from the University of Puget Sound. In addition, she currently serves on the Board of Directors for a non-profit organization, Friends for Youth.
