Sandeep Nayyar
Vice President, Finance, Applied Biosystems

Sandeep Nayyar was appointed Vice President, Finance in 2002. Previously, Mr. Nayyar was Vice President, Controller for Applied Biosystems. In his role, Mr. Nayyar is responsible for Applied Biosystems finance and accounting worldwide.

Prior to joining Applied Biosystems, Mr. Nayyar was Vice President of Finance for the Hard Disk Drive Group at the Quantum Corporation. In this position was responsible for financial forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, quarterly earnings communications, cash management, quarterly price negotiations with manufacturing partners and business management. Previously at Quantum, he was Vice President, Finance for the High-End Storage Division, Director of Finance for the Corporate Finance Group and Controller for the High Capacity Storage Group. Prior to joining Quantum, Mr. Nayyar was Audit Manager at Ernst and Young.

Mr. Nayyar received a bachelor's degree in accounting in 1979 from the University of Delhi, India. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
