Paul S. Johnson
President, Americas
Paul S. Johnson was named President, Americas, in May 2008
with primary responsibility for all aspects of sales,
customer support, and marketing as well as field-based resources
in North and South America for the Molecular and Cell Biology
and Applied Markets product lines and services.
He joined Applied Biosystems in 2005 as Vice President,
Americas Sales, Customer Support, and Global Marketing
with responsibility for leading a commercial organization
of 350-plus people. He reports to Mark Stevenson, President of Applied Biosystems.
Previously, Mr. Johnson managed sales and marketing of
Clinical Information Systems for GE Healthcare, where he was responsible
for the growth of core business sales revenues. Earlier positions with
GE included specialization in computer tomography (CT)
and diagnostic imaging systems.
Mr. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts and
an Executive MBA from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
He is a Six Sigma Black Belt.
