In his role as Division President, MCB Genomic Analysis, Shaf Yousaf is responsible for the business strategy and P&L performance of a broad portfolio of Applied Biosystems' sequencing, PCR, and gene expression platforms.

Mr. Yousaf was previously with Sigma-Aldrich, where he was on the senior executive team as President of its Research Biotechnology Business Unit. Mr. Yousaf began his career over 25 years ago as a molecular biologist with Amersham International and has served in roles ranging from manufacturing, product management, marketing, and R&D.

Mr. Yousaf holds a bachelor of science in Biochemistry from Newcastle University in the United Kingdom.
