SYBR® Green-Based Gene Expression Analysis
SYBR® Green dye is a double-stranded DNA binding dye that detects double-stranded DNA generated during PCR. SYBR Green I dyes are ideal for target identification (screening assays), or for when you need to run a limited number of assays. Because you don’t need target-specific probes, SYBR® Green-based methods for measuring gene expression are typically less expensive and provide greater experimental flexibility than probe-primer based methods.
